Baidoa: Women to be trained in media leadership

Media Women Network in collaboration with IMS-FOJO, today (-1-Sep-2021), conducted a
two-day training for 12 women from various media sectors in Baidoa.

Women in Leadership and media management is part of this year’s Media Women Network project in different cities. Women are being taught how to be part of the leadership of media industries, media
organizations, and how to take part in discussions about media decision-making.

Speaking at the opening of the training, Kafia Naaleeye, coordinator of the project, said it was
the second time such training had been taken for female journalists in Baidoa.

The Media Women Network, which launched in 2018, has changed a lot for many women who
have joined the media administration today, although they have not yet reached the desired level.
